I have had a Fluke 123 Scopemeter more than five years and that costs nearly triple this one. It was useful and easy to use. I have an old Toshiba analog scope and a bench digital scope – neither of which I use since I got the Fluke. I like my new OWON HDS1022M-N much better. It has every feature that the old ones have, as well as portabality, plus an easy-to-use interface. And its price is very low. Best of all, it connects by USB to my laptop. This thing is great. I have the 100MHz variant. As others have said, it does it all. All the triggering modes, waveform math, cursors, tenacity mode, averaging, X-Y mode, delayed sweep, window mode, waveform save, waveform catch, measurements like P-P, rise time, frequency, responsibility cycle, etc. Spectrum analyzer.I am not too impressed with the meter. It seems nice, however it updates slow and is not as correct as a basic DMM. But who buys this for the multimeter? to use the multimeter, you must switch modes, which takes some seconds and produces a bunch of annoying relay clicks. You can not view the meter and scope simultaneously, clearly. So to me it is simpler to use a separate DMM if you need that. The one flaw I have found, and maybe it is just my unit, however when center I both traces on the same offshoot, and ground the probes, channel 1 is one notch above channel 2. I have to bump it down one notch to get them right over each other. This does not happen on all voltage scales, and looks worst on 2V/div. So it looks like there is a small DC offshoot on one of my channels, however it has not caused any problems other than annoying me that it is not "perfect". It is not enough to dock a star, because as a handheld digital storage scope, this thing is still awesome. I saw a handheld digital storage scope around 1988, and I was told it cost over 20,000. I did not get a chance to use it, however I doubt it had more features than the Owon. It may have had 4 channels. I wish the Owon had 4 channels, however in a pinch, on occasion recalling a saved waveform can suffice. You may be able to display 4 saved waveforms on the screen now, with the 2 live channels. To the reviewer that says the screen is too dim. There is a button with a sun icon on it that changes the light, there is 5 levels. I keep it on 3. It is too bright on 5.
